Overview
Dune Awakening is an Open World Survival MMO. I contributed to the project as both a Game Designer on the Combat Team and a Level Designer on the World Team during the pre-production phase of development.
Game Designer Highlights:

Collaborated with the Combat Design team to design and implement a variety of weapons including pistols, rifles, and machine guns using a custom tool to create and modify weapon parameters using Unreal Engine data tables. Weapons were taken from concept to shippable.

Used a custom tool in Unreal Engine blueprints and data tables to adjust aim assist settings for controller gameplay inclusive of tuning magnetism, aim acceleration, aim rotation, and more. Routinely play tested together with team to collect feedback and refine aim assist behavior.

Collaborated with the art, animation, and combat directors to refine different camera settings for exploration, combat, and specific weapon modes of gameplay using Unreal Engine camera modifier blueprints.
Level Designer Highlights:

Feature owner for level design and environment art metrics for the creation of modular asset kits used to create instanced dungeon points of interest and player building kit pieces. Worked closely with environment team to prototype and implement 3 kits of production art assets.

Designed and implemented large variety of open world point of interest content and instanced linear dungeon content inclusive of blockouts, encounters, and objectives. Owned content through concept, blockout, and gameplay implementation.

Collaborated with engineering team to capture requirements and facilitate implementation of procedural content propagation of hand-crafted points of interest throughout the open world.
